Hello, dear readers!
Welcome to "Sweet Transitions," where we juggle lemons, occasionally drop a few, but always end up with a pitcher full of lemonade (sometimes a little sweeter than others!). Today, I’m thrilled to share not just my first blog post but the beginning of a journey I hope you'll join me on. We’re here to embrace change, find joy, and maybe laugh a little at the absurdity of life.
Let’s be honest—change can be a tough nut to crack (and I’m not just talking about those stubborn pistachios that refuse to open). As a Realtor®, Nana, and lifelong navigator of life’s ups and downs, I’ve seen a fair share of transitions. From moving houses to moving through life's milestones, each change has taught me something valuable—even if it was just how to pack an absurd amount of dishes without breaking any (spoiler alert: it involves a lot of bubble wrap and stacking your dishes in the box a certain way to avoid cracks).
But beyond the bubble wrap, it’s my faith that has kept me grounded. Trust me, when you’ve moved three times in 13 months, you need all the grounding you can get! Each box I packed and unpacked wasn’t just filled with stuff, but with memories, lessons, and a few old DVDs (ok, VHS tapes!) I probably should have thrown out years ago.
And here’s where the joy comes in. Yes, change is scary, but it’s also ripe with possibility. It’s a chance to reinvent, refresh, and maybe redecorate (because who doesn’t love a good excuse to hit the home décor section?). Change is not just about endings or the tough stuff; it’s also about beginnings and the sweet, sometimes hidden opportunities that come when you least expect them.
So, whether you’re an empty nester figuring out what’s next, someone who’s just moved to a new city, or anyone who finds themselves at life’s many crossroads, remember: change doesn’t have to be a solo journey (even if you are physically all alone). Together, we can share the load (and the road map!), finding laughter and lessons along the way.
As we continue on this blog, expect stories filled with hope, practical tips to manage life's transitions, and of course, a healthy dose of humor. Because when life gives you lemons, why not learn to juggle?
Thank you for stepping into "Sweet Transitions." Here’s to embracing change and finding lasting joy in the chaos of life. Let’s make every transition a sweet one!
